About Us

Steven Leonard Messina is an accomplished writer, poet, musician, and scholar of life. He holds a B.A. in philosophy from Stony Brook University in New York with a concentration in Christian Mysticism, Sufism, Advaita Vedanta, Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism. To deepen his personal spiritual practice, he has studied privately with Steve Kanji Ruhl, an ordained Zen Buddhist minister with a Master of Divinity degree from Harvard University. Steve also holds a degree in jazz/contemporary music from Five Towns College. His training in both disciplines has left him a highly critical thinker with exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills. He is a compassionate, articulate communicator with an eagle eye for discerning the essential from the unimportant and is adept at proposing alternate solutions that may not be obvious. Steve has synthesized tenets from multiple spiritual and philosophical teachings to carve a path toward happiness and success.
Recently, Steve has become a volunteer for the Society of St. Vincent DePaul on Long Island, where he uses his talents to try and raise money to help local neighbors in needs. He created Luna Loves Me Monastery to afford people a calming place that he hopes all can benefit from. Steve's goal is to help light a path for clients, so they may harness their inner power to manifest positive transformations in their lives.
